Wrensilva: Elevating the Art of HiFi
Founded in 2016, Wrensilva builds HiFi record consoles combining artisanal craftsmanship with advanced sound engineering. The blend of classic design with vinyl and digital listening modes creates an unparalleled home listening experience. With their new collection of redesigned consoles, they asked BMD to elevate their brand expression.
The project was truly holistic, encompassing product branding, visual identity and voice, art direction and collateral design as well as a new e-commerce website and digital presence.
BMD refined the visual identity with a more graphic Wren icon and heritage crest, along with colour, typography, and art direction.
Drawing from the coastal palette of Wrensilva’s home in San Diego, we established a warm, sophisticated atmosphere that echoes mid-century modern aesthetics and underscores their blend of heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design.
Akin to the range and depth of the signature Wrensilva sound, BMD created a design system that uses different volumes to inform applications. From quieter, more intimate moments to louder, bolder expressions, we allow the Wrensilva brand to flex for a range of contexts and content.
The website, created in collaboration with Executive, is an immersive dive into the world of Wrensilva, where music culture, sound stories, and artisanship live together. It was important that this experience from story to shop was seamless, and that the product’s beauty could shine.
Photography and video are focused on intimate listening moments, as well as the beauty of the consoles, to convey sensorial experiences rooted in warmth and presence.
Inspired by forms found on our consoles—records, subwoofers, dials—we introduced a graphic device that delivers a lively visual language for their social presence.
